Amanda has gotten me hooked on netflix. She gave me her password so that I can add stuff to her queue. It's so awesome. Now I can watch all the movies I want. This could be the start of a new obsession. She has one of those dell laptops that has been recalled. She noticed that her laptop would get really hot. She even called Dell about it a few months ago. They told her "well it's not really a laptop. It's a portable computer. So you shouldn't put in on your lap or bed b/c it will burn it. you need to put it on a flat surface like a desk". Umm yeah right I never hear of a laptop getting that hot where it will burn your lap. Dell is stupid.
I'm looking for apartments again. I want to move closer to either the uptown or downtown area. Reasons: it will be closer to work. I wont have to pay a stupid toll every time I cross the river. I always hang out on the east bank anyway. Amanda is going to be staying with me for a few weeks/months for work study program so she'll be working at the court which is in the city. I dont have to pay a stupid toll. I'm more familar with the East side of the river (I have no clue where anything is on the West side). The west bank really has nothing fun to do. ummm It would be nice to live downtown for awhile before I actually leave New Orleans. I'd love to walk out of my place at night to get something to eat. That's all I can think of right now. So anyways. I'm looking for places and I didnt realize how hard it was. Well I should have known b/c of lack of housing in New Orleans. I saw this really cute place uptown but they wanted $1030 for a one bedroom. And even though I'm getting my new salary soon, I dont want to pay that much for a one bedroom. Maybe there will be more avaiblities closer to xmas time or something. hmmmm... I wonder if that's the typical price for places in the city? Do you get taxed for your car when you live in the city? I've always lived out in the burbs so I dont know these things. I even saw this one place in Metairie that I like. It was a two bedroom and it is the same price as what I'm paying for a one bedroom. So if I got a roomie, I'd only have to pay $340 a month. Anyone looking for a roomie?
I'm going to see Snakes on a plane on Friday with my friend Sean. Sean is my friend who looks like Wolverine. He's very hairy, has facial hair, sideburns and messed up hair that sticks up. I haven't seen him in awhile so it's going to be fun.
